NORTH CENTRAL CHAPTER PVA MIKE OLSON TRAPSHOOT

Michael Olson

Mike Olson was a dedicated leader, a passionate advocate, and a true friend to the veteran community. For over 19 years, he served as the president of the North Central Chapter of the Paralyzed Veterans of America (PVA), where his commitment to his fellow veterans was unwavering. In addition to his leadership role, Mike also served as the Chapter’s Sports Director and on the National Board of the PVA, working tirelessly to support and uplift others.

His contributions were recognized in 2017 when he was named Veteran of the Year by both the Sioux Falls Veterans Council and the Sioux Falls Chamber of Commerce. Throughout his life, he received numerous awards and accolades—testaments to his dedication and impact, of which he was rightfully proud.

Beyond his service and advocacy, Mike had a deep love for the outdoors. Whether he was trapshooting, hunting, or fishing, he found joy in nature and camaraderie in the friendships he built along the way. A proud U.S. Navy veteran, he served his country with honor during the Vietnam Conflict.

To celebrate Mike’s legacy and passion for trapshooting, we are honored to dedicate a special event in his name. His spirit of service, perseverance, and love for the sport will live on through this event, ensuring that his memory continues to inspire us all.
